AUDIT BEFORE YOU ACT

The upstream gate for MetaMask Agent Wallet.

MetaMask Agent Wallet ships a safety model most agents lack. Every supported transaction passes a mandatory pipeline before it lands: simulation surfaces what the call will actually do, Blockaid threat-scanning auto-bounces malicious transactions, Smart Transactions optimize how the trade settles, and eligible transactions carry protection coverage. For an autonomous agent moving real value, that is the right floor.

It answers one question with production rigor: is this transaction safe to sign?

It does not answer a second one: is the position worth taking at all?

Two axes

These are different axes, and the distinction is not academic. A transaction can clear simulation cleanly, pass Blockaid as non-malicious, and settle with perfect MEV protection while acting on reasoning that is unfalsifiable, unsourced, or pure narrative. "Three dissents lock the September hike" is a safe transaction and a questionable thesis. The pipeline verifies the how. Nothing in it verifies the why.

That gap is not a MetaMask flaw. Transaction safety and thesis quality are orthogonal concerns, and folding a thesis auditor into a threat scanner would confuse two jobs that are better kept apart. The gap is a seam. A seam is where a second gate goes.

The gate

DJZS is that gate, and it sits upstream. Before a capital-deploying command runs, whether a prediction-market order, a perpetual, a swap, or a transfer, the trade thesis is composed as an intent: the claim, its falsifier, the residual exposure, and the probability basis. The intent is audited against a deterministic taxonomy. An LLM detects; TypeScript decides. The verdict is one of three: PASS, WAIT, or FAIL.

On EXECUTE, the intent hands off, and MetaMask's pipeline runs exactly as it always does. On HALT, nothing executes. The two gates are independent and they compose: DJZS audits the thesis, MetaMask audits the transaction, and a trade must clear both. A returned EXECUTE is necessary, not sufficient. MetaMask policy can still pause a cleared trade for approval, and that is the system working, not a DJZS failure.

What a PASS is, and is not

A PASS certifies well-formed reasoning at a moment in time. It never certifies that the narrative is true, and it never certifies that the trade wins. The engine checks that a probability basis is stated, not that the claim agrees with it. Every PASS names its own residual: the condition under which the cleared thesis fails. The gate clears the logic. The position stays yours.

This limit is published, not hidden. A tool that overclaimed its own scope would fail its own audit.

Status

The gate is live. It runs at mcp.djzs.ai, priced per audit over x402 on Base mainnet, and it audits its own operator's trades on a public, permanent record: four decision entries deep, executed and parked and superseded alike, each sealed by an intent hash, a verdict hash, and an on-chain settlement. Wins and losses both. A record that only logged wins would be marketing.

The MetaMask composition described here is the reference architecture. The gate is real and the skill that pairs it to the mm command surface is written; the end-to-end loop through MetaMask Agent Wallet has not yet been run by an external operator, and one seam remains open: whether the MetaMask wallet settles the audit toll directly or a separate payer signs it. Those are engineering questions with answers, not claims dressed as facts. When the loop runs, it will run on the record, with a receipt, the way every DJZS capability is shown for the first time. Not before.
